Small Sardines in Olive Oil with Piquillo Peppers (Sardinillas con Pimientos del Piquillo). These-nutrient rich, sardines are fished in Galicia’s “Rias Gallegas”. These are called sardinillas, denoting their smaller more petite size. They are tender texture and intense flavor. It is a fish rich in calcium, vitamins and a high Omega-3 content. We love that they have health benefits. But what we love more is their taste. These include a touch of sweet piquillo pepper that make them a tasty and satisfying snack. Great as a tapa, on a salad, or served over rice or pasta.
